Kolonaki is Posh Central. Come here for first hand experience of the sport of "people watching" and marvel at the spectacle of elegantly dressed people of all ages lounging in the cafes on the main square, sipping Frappé and gossiping. Here is where you'll find your designer goodies, should you be so inclined. The central square of Kolonaki athens has very nice cafes and restaurants, once you visit there you should stop for a Frappe coffee. Shopping addicts will love Kolonaki, or for a more reasonable price tag, Ermou Street, beside Syntagma Square. Turn right off Ermou at the MAC makeup shop and you'll find yourself on Aghiou Markou and other small streets which are home to incredibly cheap shoes, bags, jewellery, gifts, homewares, and so on. Monastiraki starts at the end of ermou street. It is full of traditional restaurants and cafés and also it The place to buy your souvenirs. It feels like you are in a greek island. Furthermore for those of you who are vinyl lovers you will be able to find vinul and music stores which sell used and new records. Some good deals can be done there. Faux bijou, t shirts, shoes, flags, souvenirs and music all found in the monastiraki area. Monastiraki is accessible either by ermou street or by metro.\ Panepistimiou and Academias avenues which connect Omonia square with syntagma and ermou street. Together with ancient greek landmarks such as the old university. In those streets you will be able to find brand shops, book shops, a huge Mall!! and also some Music stores. What i suggest go to omonia square and try to go on feet to syntagma (approximately 20 minutes) it worth the trouble and it is nice. The large malls have special prices for tourists (check your hotel local info stands)
- Pagrati:A nice Lux area. A good alternative to Kolonaki, nice shops, cafes, a big mall with cinema theaters major brand shops located there and some nice restaurants
- Glyfada, The rich Peoples area. the place where most of the rich and famous live. therefore you will find the most expencive shops, restaurants, houses. However it worths the money. it is a nice area on the sea. all the cafes. bars and restaurants of glyfada are crowded daily, you can enjoy international cuisine together with the local. Great Place
